GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Type A former Sandalwood High School pupil and current University of Sunshine State football game game participant turned himself in after being accused of using a chap student's recognition card 33 modern times after she was killed in a bike accident.
Jamar Hornsby, 21, turned himself in Friday morning time on complaints of recognition card larceny and deceitful usage of a recognition card.
Gainesville police force said they're not certain how Hornsby got Ashley Slonina's BP gas card, but said he began running up complaints Oct. Thirteen -- the twenty-four hours after her death.
Slonina was killed in a bike accident along with another football player, redshirt fresher Michael Guilford.
Police said the complaints began as teammates and other UF pupils were still mourning the deaths.
"We began to look into it, obtain some surveillance of an individual that was, in fact, using this immature lady's recognition card," said Gainesville Police Department Lt. Sir Leslie Stephen Maynard. "Ultimately, that individual was identified as Jamar Hornsby."
Court records demo the auto was used 33 modern times between October 2007 and April 2008.
The sum complaints amounted to $3,000.
